Changing
or cancelling a reservation
Before you change or cancel a reservation, be sure to read the property's policies
(see your reservation confirmation). To change, cancel, or verify an existing
reservation:
- Click Modify/Cancel
Reservation.
- Select "room-only"
reservation if you've booked a room or "package reservation" if you've booked
a package. (Note that you cannot change a package reservationyou must
cancel and then rebuild the package.)
- Enter your e-mail
address and reservation confirmation number.
Or, if you are registered on this site and made the reservation through your
account, enter your user name and password. (If you have forgotten yours,
e-mail Customer Service for assistance.
Include your first and last name or the name under which the reservation was
made.)
- Click Get
My Reservation.
- Select a reservation
by clicking the button next to the confirmation number.
- Click Cancel
Reservation, Change Dates, or Change Credit Card.
Please note! Clicking the Cancel Reservation button does not cancel your reservation. For instructions on how to cancel, change dates, or change credit card information and special requests, please see the following help for each:
Cancelling a reservation
- Follow steps
1 through 6 in "Changing or cancelling a reservation."
When you click
Cancel Reservation, you'll see your itinerary and the property's
Deposit and Cancellation policies. Please review the policies carefully!
Some properties will not allow online cancellations within a specific
time prior to check-in. In this case, please contact the property directly
to cancel your reservation and to avoid a possible cancellation or "no-show"
fee. Refer to your original e-mail confirmation for the property contact
information.
- At the bottom
of the page, click Cancel Reservation Now. You must click this button
to cancel your reservation.
If there are no cancellation restrictions, your reservation will be cancelled successfully and you will receive an e-mail confirmation. You do not need to e-mail Customer Service about a successful cancellationa copy of your confirmation will be sent to the hotel.
Changing dates
- Follow steps
1 through 6 in "Changing or cancelling a reservation."
When you click
Change Dates, you'll see your itinerary and the property's Deposit
and Cancellation policies. Please review the policies carefully for
any restrictions, fees, or penalties for changing dates.
- At the bottom
of the page, enter a new check-in date. If desired, change the number of nights
you want to stay.
- Click Check
Availability.
If those dates
are available, you'll see a page titled "Change Dates - Available."
- Verify the new
reservation information. If there is an error, click your Back button and
re-enter the information.
- If desired,
you can change your credit card information and/or special requests for the
property.
- Click Submit
Changes at the bottom of the page.
The next page will show "Change Dates - Successful." Please verify the new reservation information (your confirmation number stays the same). You and the property will instantly receive a Reservation Modification confirmation by e-mail.
Note: Currently, you cannot change room types or the number of rooms listed on the original confirmation. Please contact the property directly to make this type of adjustment. We appreciate your patience while we continue to enhance the site.
Changing credit card information and requests
Use this feature if you want to change the type of credit card you used to
secure the reservation and/or if you wish to send the property a special request.
Note that you can send requests without changing credit card information.
- Follow steps
1 through 6 in "Changing or cancelling a reservation."
When you click Change Credit Card, you'll see the details of your reservation.
- Scroll to the
bottom of the page and enter new credit card information and any special requests
you have for the property.
- Click Submit
Changes.
On the "Change Credit Card & Comments - Successful" page, please verify the
new reservation information (your confirmation number stays the same). If there
is an error, click your Back button and re-enter the information.
You and the property will instantly receive a Reservation Modification confirmation by e-mail.
