Just to the south, Lannion is quite a centre for telecommunications which has brought much prosperity. In the old part of the town, attractive narrow streets run down to the river which is lined with restored houses.

There is a market on Thursday in the Place du Centre, which is one of the best in the region. Also see the daily fish market in the Halle aux Poissons in Place du Miroir, every morning Tuesday to Saturday.
