St Cast

The seaside resort of St. Cast with its seven beaches has been popular since the beginning of the 20th century when seabathing started to catch on. At the end of the main beach is a small hill which offers excellent views from the summit over the Emerald Coast and Cap Fréhel. Coastal walks along the jagged cliffs are particularly impressive, and a bit tiring. Numerous artists such as Buffet helped make the town fashionable.
